Kiev's SFX makeup versatility and creativity include body painting, tattoo cover, prosthetic application, facial hair application, old age makeup, bald capping, burns and cuts, wigs, and character development. She has transformed individuals into their artistic visions both, as a head makeup artist on commercial sets, to theatrical productions. Kiev is a member of IATSE local 798 union of film and tv makeup artists, and also works regularly on non-union productions.

Holiday Commercial
For this project Kiev was tasked to work with stunt men and women who would be in a Santa Clause costumes performing extreme physical stunts. Kiev was also tasked with developing each Santa Character representative of the client's choice of sporting gear from fishing, to hunting to basketball. This project required aging some of the cast from age 25 to around 75 years as Santa Clause. Techniques used: Wig making, facial hair application, Old age makeup, and character development.
